Pu erh tea is a type of tea made from a "large leaf" variety of the tea plant Camellia Sinensis and named after Pu'er county near Simao, Yunnan, China. The flavour of Puerh tea is often described as having a smooth complex elemental earthy taste. The Pu-erh tea is fully fermented and comes in both loose and compressed as Puerh cakes into different shapes and sizes including block tea and tea brick. The health benefits of Pu erh tea include the presence of antioxidants that reduce levels of damaging free radicals which in turn helps prevent aging.
